WorkOne's goal is to help you become employed. At WorkOne, you'll identify your employment needs, learn about the job market in the location where you want to work, obtain training and be referred to job openings that match your interests, skills, and experience. Job Seeker services for all: new workers; career changers; unemployed; underemployed; dislocated due to layoff, downsizing or business closure; people with disabilities; Veterans.

You'll register with our user-friendly Indiana Career Connect job matching system. You'll have access to job leads and applications, get labor market information that includes pay ranges and job trends, put together a resume, and find out about other community resources available to you. Indiana Career Connect is the State of Indiana's NO CHARGE service to benefit individuals and employers. For Individuals:

  • The most comprehensive source of Indiana job openings to assist you in finding the best match for your skills and experience.

  • Research tools to show high-demand and high-wage careers

You will want to take advantage of the many free training sessions and workshops in our Job Seeker Product Box. All of our products are designed to increase your skill level. Our dynamic trainers will motivate you with information, handouts & helpful exercises which will prepare you to get the best job possible with your skills. Contact your local office for topics, dates and times.

More services that may be provided include one-on-one counseling, academic skill evaluation, career exploration, on-the-job training, referral to HSE (GED) preparation, and referral to training for job specific skills.

Our Information Resource Area (available at every WorkOne office) is filled with career planning tools, educational and apprenticeship info, newspapers, books, videos, brochures, Internet, job banks all there for you to use at no charge.

Opportunities For Job Skills Training

The Central Indiana Regional Workforce Board is committed to supporting training for occupations in-demand; those that lead to high wages. If you have been unable to find employment that meets your income needs, you may be eligible for training services. Please contact your local WorkOne office to inquire about Workforce Innnovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) services.

Veterans

Local Veteran Employment Representatives (LVERs) and Disabled Veteran Outreach Program Specialists (DVOPs) are based in the WorkOnes, and are dedicated to helping Veterans and eligible spouses receive all the services they need. Veteran services in the WorkOne offices are designed to assist Veterans and /or eligible Spouses to find and secure suitable employment and make the transition from the military to the civilian workforce.
